About the Murray-Wellington Electorate
The Murray-Wellington electorate is 4244 square kilometres in area and includes the Murray, Waroona and Harvey Shires.
The new seat includes North Yunderup, Australind, Brunswick, Harvey, Yarloop, Waroona, Pinjarra, North Dandalup, Dwellingup, Binningup, Preston Beach, Lake Clifton and all of the surrounds.
Former members include Ross McLarty, who represented the Murray electorate under both names between 1930 and 1962, and served as Premier 1947-53. The last Labor MP for the seat was Keith Read 1989-93.
